As all good teachers will tell their students; All and every question is valid. So this post is all about our very valid ‘Frequently asked questions’.

We been asked many ‘great’ questions about our car storage service since we started and in the main we like to provide as many positive answers as possible. If you have a question that isn’t answered here or you’d like to speak to a human instead give us a call on 01908 216166.

Below you’ll find the answers to all those frequently asked car storage questions, as well as some less frequently asked questions. We’ve split them into the questions we can happily say ‘Yes’ to and, further down, those that unfortunately we have to say ‘No’ to.

The answers to the questions where we’ve had to say ‘No’, we will, where possible, give a legitimate reason for that response and if necessary discuss further with you your own individual needs.

We appreciate that for some the answer ‘No’ may mean that you have to look else where for a storage solution – please know that that breaks our hearts.

Do you store Race Cars?

Do you store Motorcycles?

Do you store classic VW Camper vans or similar classic bus-type vehicles?

Do you store classic Landrover’s or similar classic 4×4-type vehicles?
Yes, mostly. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to confirm the size of your vehicle.

What day can I bring my car in?
We’re typically open Monday to Friday 09.00 – 17.30 and Saturday 09.30 – 12.30 but give us a call on 01908 216166 and we can work out a suitable time.

Can I deliver a car to you outside of those times?
Yes, but there is an ‘Out of Hours’ fee of £50 – Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

I work abroad and would like my car stored with you. I come back 2/3 times a year and would need my car bringing to the airport, is this a service you provide?
Yes. To discuss our Airport Collection and Drop off process please call the office on 01908 216166

Can I access my car whilst in storage?
Yes. We try to be as flexible as possible but also like to limit movement around cars as much as possible. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

How much electricity is the battery charger likely to cost me per month?
This is included in our service.

Do you have Car Bubbles, Air Chambers or Carcoons for hire?
Yes. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

Is our facility indoors, dry and secure?
Yes, yes and yes (please see our Security page).

Do you do discounts for multiple cars?
Yes, sometimes. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your multi car or car collection needs.

Do you collect or pick up vehicles?
Yes, we can arrange transportation from all corners of the UK and some parts of Europe and the rest of the world too. Please see our Car Transport page or call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

Do you store modern cars and 4×4’s?
Yes. If your car is important to you, it’s important to us. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

In Premium Storage do you start the car every month and drive it for a short distance to get everything moving?
Yes. We can do either at the preference of the owner. Some we drive – we have a preferred 10 mile loop that we use – and some we just run up to temperature on site, working through the gears and pressing/depressing brakes. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

Can I use my own car cover and conditioner?
Yes. We recommend you do.

Can I hire or buy a battery conditioner and car cover from you?

Can I come and visit before I book a space?

Do you have a map of how to get to your facility?

Can you facilitate an extension, if required, for car access beyond the Saturday 09:30 – 12:30 noon opening hours?

Could you facilitate access on the odd Sunday?
Yes. However, there is an out of hours fee of £50 – Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

Do you hold any level of insurance against accidental / fire damage.
Yes. Please request a copy of our T&C’s. Section 4 covers the above. Give us a call on 01908 216166. In all customer cases, we strongly recommend that you maintain a storage or ‘laid up’ insurance policy for fire, theft, accidental damage in store and any other risks as you may require to be insured against. Have you got both internal and external CCTV coverage in HD format for the use as evidence if required and is the recording strategy ‘motion sensitive’, for example recording starts when movement is detected.

Is your facility fire risk assessed.
Yes, carried out by MCFP.

Do you store Glider trailers?
No thank you.

Do you store trailers?
No, sorry. We use up all available storage space for cars and motorbikes.

Do you store modern motorhomes?
Nope.

Do you store caravans?
Again, no, sorry.

Do you store speed boats?
Not really, no.

Do you store lorry trailers?
No.

Do you store speed boats on trailers?
Again, sorry. No. We use up all available storage space for lovely cars and motorbikes.

Can I store my VW Crafter Camper with you?
No. Sorry, way too big.

Would you store a box trailer containing a motorcycle?
Not really.

Can you store my leathers, boots and helmet?
Sorry, no.

Do you store working wedding cars?
Not if it’s a working vehicle with regular access needed.

Do you store working Limosines?
No, sorry. Same reason as above really.

Do you store classic Trucks’s or similar classic Lorry-type vehicles?

Do you store cars for short Holidays of 1, 2 or 3 weeks?
Normally no, but it is totally dependent on the space available, Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

I was wondering if there was any flexibility on the minimum of 12 weeks storage?
Typically, no. We try to limit the amount of movement of vehicles in storage. However, if we can help we will try. Please call the office on 01908 216166 to discuss your needs.

Is our facility heated?
No.

Is our facility de-humidified?
No, not actively. We do have Airchambers though.

My car doesn’t drive, can I still store it with you?
No, well, sometimes. Although, on occassion, we do store some race prepared cars. We prefer cars to be in reasonable working order.

Do you have the facility for external power and water, immediately outside the building for cleaning cars.
No, well we do but we don’t allow any type of work on or around vehicles, nor on site in any capacity, by non-employees or non-approved contractors of Auto Classica Storage Ltd. Sorry.

Would you provide me with access to your CCTV recordings if required.
Not usually, but then we’ve never been asked. I expect we’d need to look at this request on a case by case basis.

Can you guarantee that my car wouldn’t physically move unless instructed.
No. There is always the possiblity we’d need to move a vehicle without your explicit permission. Please request a copy our Terms of Business for further information.

Can you guarantee that the car cover would not be raised unless instructed between my visits.

Do you allow customers to photograph their car during opening hours, against the rural background of your estate.
Not usually no. We typically do not allow any type of work on or around vehicles, nor on site in any capacity, by non-employees or non-approved contractors of Auto Classica Storage Ltd. However, if we can help we will try – call the office on 01908 216166.

Is your facility at Broughton in Milton Keynes?
